We Want Miles

Leigh Wiener photographed Miles Davis in 1961 at the Blackhawk Theater in San Francisco. This photograph, a striking example of Wiener's mastery of low light and composition, has been included in the Museum's tribute to Miles Davis, one of the twentieth century's greatest musicians.

The multimedia retrospective recalls the highlights of his life and career, including his memorable concerts in Montreal.
